As a staff member/host,
I want to easily access the email/mobile number of the person who made the booking,
so that I can send an email or SMS from the Inbox, even if the contact details are not associated with the lead guest.
Acceptance Criteria:
Contact Details Access:
The system should allow staff/hosts to select the person who made the booking (the "booked by" contact) in the "To" dropdown when composing an email or SMS.
If the "booked by" person is different from the lead guest, their email address or mobile number should be shown in the dropdown list.
Role Labeling in Dropdown:
The "To" dropdown should clearly display the roles of each person (e.g., "Lead Guest", "Booked By", "Invoiced Entity") alongside their contact details (email or mobile number).
Example: "Lead Guest - John Doe ([email protected])", "Booked By - Jane Smith ([email protected])".
Invoiced Entity Contact:
If the invoiced entity is a separate individual, their contact information should also be available in the dropdown list, with the role labeled as "Invoiced Entity".
Email/SMS Functionality:
Staff/hosts should be able to send emails or SMS messages to any person listed in the dropdown, based on the role and contact information available (email for "booked by" or "invoiced entity", mobile for SMS).
UI/UX Design:
The design of the "To" dropdown should be clear and easy to use, with the ability to quickly differentiate between different roles.
When a staff member/host selects an individual from the dropdown, their contact information (email or mobile number) should be automatically populated in the corresponding message field.
Error Handling:
If no contact details are available for the "booked by" person or invoiced entity, the system should display a warning message (e.g., "No contact details available for this individual").
Note for designer: In one scenario, the lead guest, person booking and entity invoice might be one person. in another scenario we might only have the person booking contact info. In both scenarios we have only one contact info, but it should be distinguished in design.
As a staff/ host, I want to easily access the email/mobile number of the person booking when I want to send an email/sms from the Inbox.
Original request:
For this booking, the person booking has an email, but the guest does not. There is no way to contact the person booking via email, even though this email is in the system under the person booking.
